Exhibition Announcement
《Field of Dreams》 | A Solo Exhibition by Conan Chen
~ A good plan now is better than a perfect plan that has yet to happen. ~
Some dreams don’t simply come true—they take shape through every decision to begin.
Conan’s practice spans digital art, drawing, architecture, sculpture, and derivative works, alongside personal collections, childhood memories, and video documentation. The exhibition brings these works together through eight themes—Beginning, Traces, What We Love, Space, Form, Virtuality, Extension, and Looking Back. Starting from memories and the things he loves, Conan develops his own artistic language through observation, drawing, exploration, and making.
“When technique no longer holds you back, you begin to realize that the ideas in your head are actually pretty amazing.”

An Emmy-Winning Disney Animation You May Have Never Seen - Teacher's Pet
When people think of classic Disney animation, titles like The Lion King or Lilo & Stitch often come to mind. Yet one Emmy Award-winning series remains relatively unknown to audiences in Taiwan—Teacher's Pet.
The series won two Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Special Class Animated Program, while its creator, Gary Baseman, received an Emmy for Outstanding Individual in Animation for his distinctive artistic vision.
Baseman did not come from a traditional animation background. He studied Communications at UCLA while developing his artistic voice independently. His career later expanded across illustration, contemporary art, toy design, character design, and animation.
His work blends Pop Surrealism, pop culture, childhood nostalgia, and dark humor. These qualities became the heart of Teacher's Pet, as Baseman brought his own artistic language into animation rather than following conventional visual formulas.
At Art Floor, we believe discovering Teacher's Pet is more than revisiting an overlooked Disney animation. It is a reminder that the most memorable creative work often comes from staying true to your own artistic voice.
